BONGAIGAON, Jan 16 - Biswajit Ray, the former president of AKRSU, has finally decided to contest the 2016 Assembly elections simultaneously from Bijni and Bongaigaon seats as an Independent if he does not get candidature from any political party.
�As my guardians, the All Koch-Rajbongshi Students� Union and other well wishers, including my family, had allowed me to contest the 2016 Assembly polls for the cause of my community, I am grateful to them and ready to take up the challenge�, Ray told the media here. I would prefer to join that political party which would comply with the demands set by me as a part of my vision as a future political leader�.
�If I fail to get any party ticket as a candidate, I would contest the polls independent from both Bijni and Bongaigaon seats�, Ray clarified.
