Birthday boy Zubeen spells out future plans

GUWAHATI, Nov 18 - From February next year, Zubeen Garg will start shooting his new film Dustbin. It will be the fourth directorial venture and the first Hindi film to be directed by the singer-turned-filmmaker. The film will be shot at different locations of the State. Zubeen made the announcement on the occasion of his 48th birthday on Wednesday. Notably, his latest film Kanchanjangha was a mega box office hit in Assam.

Revealing his other plans, Zubeen said that from the beginning of the new year he would also start work on Brindaban Super Mart, a business venture of the singer that aims to engage new generation people in the agri business sector.

�I have many plans regarding music, cinema and economy of Assam. Hope everyone will help me,� Zubeen said. Meanwhile, fans and followers of the cultural icon today celebrated his birthday across the State by organising various events like tree plantation, blood donation camps, etc. On the occasion, some of his fans also released a video where Papon, Hima Das and others wished him on his birthday.

To mark the occasion, Zubeen today released a new song titled �Ubhoti Suwa�. The song is written by Rahul Gautam Sharma and composed by Zubeen himself. An animated video of the song produced by Zubeen and his wife Garima Saikia Garg, was also released today.

The song is part of his new album �Silaa� that comprises altogether 12 songs. Two songs of the album have been released so far and the other numbers will be released later.

It may be recalled that in a pre-birthday announcement yesterday, Zubeen had committed to bear the financial expenses of five patients who are at present undergoing treatment at city-based Ayursundra Superspecialty Hospital.
