Birth anniversary of UN Brahma observed at Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, April 1 - The 62nd birth anniversary of Father of the Bodos, Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma was observed on Saturday at his burial place Tulungapuri at Dotma in Kokrajhar with a day-long programme.

The programme started with hoisting of the organisational flag by ABSU secretary Lorance Islary, which was followed by rich floral tributes paid by Dr Subung Mushahary, president of the UN Brahma Trust.

Synchronising with the day, a motorcycle rally was organised in the morning. The rally began from Dotma HS School field and concluded at the originating venue traversing Fakiragram, Kokrajhar town, Banargaon, Ramfalbill, Serfanguri etc. of Kokrajhar district. Krishna Gopal Basumatary, Director of UN Academy, Kokrajhar flagged off the rally.

Former Rajya Sabha MP and UPPL president UG Brahma and other leaders also attended the programme.
