DOOMDOOMA, Sept 8 - The 93rd birth anniversary of Sudhakantha Dr Bhupen Hazarika was observed at Sadiya, his birth- place today.
Floral tributes were paid to his statue located at Rukmini Udyan, Chapakhowa.
A cultural programme was held on this occasion.
Renowned singer and younger brother of the Sudhakantha, Samar Hazarika was present on the occasion and paid his tribute.
The programme was organised by the subdivisional administration of Sadiya led by Biswajit Phukan, SDO (C), Sadiya.
Tributes were also paid to the bard at Doomdooma.
A special programme was organised by the Doomdooma Sakha Sahitya Sabha at its office premises on the occasion.
