Biren Singha to open RG Baruah art contest

GUWAHATI, Oct 29 - Noted sculptor Biren Singha will inaugurate the central function of the Singhapurush Radha Govinda Baruah Memorial State-level Art Competition, 2019 in the presence of Dr Anjan Jyoti Choudhury on the Tribune premises on November 10.

According to a statement issued by the organiser Assam Tribune Sports Club, the competition will be held on the same date at 30 places including Guwahati, Morigaon, Raha, Nagaon, Diphu, Silchar, Golaghat, Jorhat, Majuli, Sivasagar, Sonari, Dibrugarh, Duliajan, Tinsukia, Digboi, Dhemaji, North Lakhimpur, Biswanath Chariali, Tezpur, Mangaldoi, Rangia, Nalbari, Salmara, Tihu, Pathsala, Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, Dhubri and Goalpara.

The competition will be held in two groups. One group is for students from Class V to Class VIII and the other group is for students from Class IX to Class XII. The subject of the competition for the first group is �Mor Uribar Mon� and for the second group it is �Bigyanar Agragati�.
