Bird-hit grounds Jetlite flight

DIBRUGARH, Dec 21 � The Delhi-bound Jetlite aircraft remained grounded today at the Mohanbari Airport after it sustained damage mid air when a bird hit the aircraft, 20 minutes before landing. At least 135 passengers, including DoNER Minister Paban Singh Ghatowar, Revenue Minister Prithibi Majhi, Handloom and Textile Minister Pranati Phukan and Editor of Asomiya Pratidin Haider Hussain were to fly out in the craft. The incoming flight was flying in from Delhi, via Guwahati. Airport authorities could not be contacted for further details.
