GUWAHATI, Feb 20 - Gauhati Town Club outplayed Navarang Club by a big margin of 158 runs in the inaugural match of the Guwahati Sports Association�s A Division cricket tournament for the Nabin Chandra Tamuly Trophy.
At the IIT ground in North Guwahati today, opting to bat first the GTC batsmen amassed 246 for six in their stipulated 30 overs. Nayanjyoti Deka top scored with 71 while Simanta Neogi (54) and Deep Bora (50) were the other notable contributors.
The Navarang boys miserably failed to chase the imposing target and were all out for 88 in 24.3 overs.
