SHILLONG, Oct 15 - Unidentified miscreants made an attempt to rob a truck loaded with goods of e-commerce companies. The truck was waylaid by miscreants at Malki Point here in the wee hours today.
According to the driver, the truck left Beltola in Guwahati and reached here in the morning when six to seven men in two vehicles stopped the truck. The driver tried to flee the scene, but some more men in other vehicles blocked the road. The robbers tried to open the carrier, but were unable to do so as it was locked electronically. Thereafter, the men demanded money from the truck driver. Meanwhile, the consignees of the goods have filed an FIR with the Laitumkhrah Police Station here.
