Bid to generate awareness on human trafficking

GUWAHATI, March 17 - A programme aimed at highlighting the menace of human trafficking in the North East would be launched here on March 22 by Caritas India, the official organization of the Catholic Bishops� Conference of India (CBCI) for social concern and human development. The event, which will start from 10 am at the Don Bosco Institute, Kharghuli, will focus on generating community awareness to prevent unsafe migration and human trafficking.

Caritas India was established in 1960 with its headquarters at the CBCI Centre, New Delhi. Right from its inception, Caritas India has been a leader in responding to the natural and man-made disasters all over the subcontinent.
