GUWAHATI, Dec 13 - In a bid to boost the State fishery sector, Fishery Minister Parimal Suklabaidya on Saturday distributed KCC (Kisan Credit Cards) among fish farmers, launched a mobile app named Fishfed Mart, inaugurated a renovated Fishfed office and an AC outlet for selling fish at Rupnagar.
Distributing KCC cards amounting to Rs 3 crore 10 lakh among 539 fish farmers, in collaboration with APART and Canara Bank, the Minister said, �Kisan Credit Cards are a good source of financial support to our fish farmers. The Fishfed has seen a steep growth since the Sarbananda Sonowal-led BJP government came to power.�
FISHFED managing director Dr Dhruba Jyoti Sharma and State Fisheries department Commissioner and Secretary Rakesh Kumar and several other officials were also present during the inauguration of renovated office of Fishfed and AC outlet.
