GUWAHATI, May 6 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has favoured a probe by the CID into the mysterious death of Dr Bibha Devi, a lecturer of Cotton College.
Revealing this, the Cotton College Teachers� association said in a statement that the Chief Minister was in favour of a CID probe after a delegation of the teachers and students had met him on March 3 and apprised him of the mysteries circumstances that still shroud the case.
The delegation wanted the Chief Minister�s intervention because the college community suspected the role of some unknown forces that had not yet been investigated into and established.
It said that the case had more than what met the eyes, and the arrest of two persons failed to solve the murder conclusively.
