Prof Mukhi laid stress on frequent interactions between Assam and Bhutan and requested Tshering to take steps like sending business and cultural delegations to Assam on a regular basis. He added that Assam would also reciprocate.

Responding to Prof Mukhis request for increasing the frequency of flights from Guwahati to Paro connecting Singapore, Tshering informed that very soon one more flight would start from Guwahati to Paro connecting Singapore.

The Consul General said that though India and Bhutan enjoy balanced business relations, those would grow deeper to include more sectors to the mutual benefit of both sides.
