Bhupenda birth anniv celebration on Sept 8

GUWAHATI, Sept 5 - The 91st birth anniversary of legendary musician Dr Bhupen Hazarika will be celebrated by the AASU on September 8 on the bank of Dighalipukhuri. Tributes will be paid to the maestro during the programme �Uddipana�, which will showcase performances by students of various colleges and universities. Academic Dr Amarjyoti Choudhury will also recite luitot snan, the sequel to his famous elegy on Dr Hazarika � Eta Gaan Sesh Hol � at 10 am that day.
