By Correspondent

GUWAHATI, June 20 - A bust of Sadagar Bholanath Borooah will be unveiled and a charitable dispensary will be opened at the precincts of Earle Holiday Home on Oakland Road in Shillong tomorrow.

These steps have been taken by the Board of Trustees of Earle Holiday Home, which was built and handed over to a trust in 1920 as a sanatorium for sick people, to keep alive the memory of Sadagar Bholanath Borooah and revive the spirit of service to people as espoused by him, said trustee Krishno Kanto Borooah.

The Earle sanatorium is located on a sprawling campus of 24 bighas of land and has become a tourist lodge comprising 50 rooms.

Sadagar Bholanath Borooah rose to prominence as a merchant in Calcutta (now Kolkata), the then hub of trade and commerce of the country. He died at his Howrah residence on May 30, 1923.
