Bhattacharya rules out provincialisation of B Ed colleges

BAIHATA CHARIALI , Aug 5 - The State Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya has ruled out provincialisation of B Ed colleges of the state saying that the State Government does not have any plan right now in this regard. �We are working on other plans instead of provincialise the B Ed colleges,� he said at the inaugural function of Guna Ram Deka memorial entrance at Agdala Chariali High School under Kamrup district.

Laying stress on quality education, the Education Minister appealed to the teachers and students to create a peaceful ambience in order to improve quality of education. In this context, he assured that the posts which are lying vacant, would be filled up soon.

Synchronising with the function, a meeting was also held under the chairmanship of Madan Chandra Deka where Madhab Chandra Deka, Inspector of Schools , Kamrup district circle, Thaneswar Baniya, president of the school management committee, BEEO of Karara and other leading dignitaries attended. The function was anchored by Krishna Kanta Kalita, senior teacher of the school where the teachers unit of the school, Baihata Chariali Sahitya Sabha, Nagaon Chariali High Madrassa and Bezera mandal committee of BJP felicitated the Education Minister.
