JALAH, Sept 3 - The Bhasha Sankalpa Divas of Asam Sahitya Sabha was observed at the Achyut-Nibedita Bhavan�- the ,Jalah office of the Asam Sahitya Sabha under Jalah circle in Baksa district. The day was organised by the Baksa District Sahitya Sabha under the aegis of Jalah Branch Sahitya Sabha.
In this connection, an open meeting was held under the chairmanship of Brajendra Nath Deka, president of Baksa District Sahitya Sabha where Karuna Kanta Deka, executive member of Asam Sahitya Sabha delivered the chief guest�s speech. Anil Chandra Kakati, ex-president of Baksa District Sahitya Sabha delivered his speech as appointed speaker while Damodar Talukdar, regional convenor of Jalah regional office of Asam Sahitya Sabha and Atul Sarania, treasurer of Baksa District Sahitya Sabha attended the programme. Hemanta Das, secretary of Baksa District Sahitya Sabha offered the vote of thanks.
Felicitation meet: A meeting was held at UN Academy, Thaigirkhari under Tamulpur subdivision in Baksa district recently under the aegis of the School Teachers� Unit and students to felicitate the meritorious students of HSLC Examination. The meeting was presided over by Mahendra Nath Swargiary, Finencial Director of UN Academy, Thaigirkhari while Deben Boro, Executive Member of BTC delivered the chief guest�s speech. Several persons including Atul Narzary, Director of UN Academy, Karuna Kanta Bhuya, Ex-Headmaster of Hirimba ME School, Nipendra Nath Das, Headmaster of JND Milon High School, Kachinath Swargiary, Gaonburha of Uttar Golbera, Kanil Daimary, social worker and Seni Ram Boro addressed the meeting.
