GUWAHATI, Oct 21 � Bharat Vikas Parishad has been organising the �Bharat Ko Jano� quiz competition since 2001 among the students in order to generate in them interest and awareness about the culture, tradition and heritage as well as other aspects of our country. This year, the West Guwahati branch organised Bharat Ko Jano quiz at ITA complex at Machkhowa on October 19. The quiz was conducted by Dharmaraj Joshi.
In the senior group, Shrimanta Sankar Academy, Dispur, represented by Sudarshan Goswami and Devatrisha Purkayastha; Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Barsajai, Guwahati, represented by Rishabh Gogoi and Arnab Das; and Faculty School (City), Guwahati, represented by Subrata Sarmah Barua and Riddhik Parasar secured the first, second and third positions respectively.
In the junior group, Don Bosco School, Panbazar, Guwahati, represented by Ritwick Sinha and Junaid Shafee; Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Silpukhuri, Guwahati, represented by Arunabh Bharadewaz and Neelav Barman; and Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Silpukhuri, Guwahati, represented by Shubhajit Dey and Arnab Pathak secured the first, second and third positions respectively. Both the teams will participate in the State-level quiz to be held on November 2 at Bongaigaon, stated a press release.
