GUWAHATI, Jan 26 - �I am going to be very strict against the job card renting process,� said MGVK Bhanu, Addl Chief Secretary, in a visual message he sent through WhatsApp to the CEOs and all officials of the Panchayat and Rural Development for implementation of MGNREGA.
He instructed all CEOs to convene a meeting with Gram Rozgar Sahayaks to explain to them about the government�s decision to take action against them if any proof of renting of job card is found in their jurisdiction. He said that job card renting is a crime in MGNREGA and it should not be allowed.
�If any proof of job card renting is brought to notice of the government, then the BDO, Junior Engineer and GRS will be in trouble,� he said. He also urged the GRS not to encourage any job card holder for renting their cards and �if someone is doing so, they need to stop the process immediately. Otherwise stern action like termination from their job will be taken.�
