GUWAHATI, Oct 30 - Former Additional Chief Secretary MGVK Bhanu, who had joined the Congress earlier this year and contested the recent Lok Sabha polls from the Tezpur constituency, has resigned from the party.

Bhanu said he has resigned for personal reasons and has no complaints against the Congress party. For the time being I would like to concentrate on my personal affairs, Bhanu told The Assam Tribune.

Asked if he is planning to join any other party, Bhanu said, At this moment, I have not thought about any such thing.

Bhanu had lost to BJP nominee Pallab Lochan Das in the Lok Sabha polls.
