By The Assam Tribune

BENGALURU, March 1: Bengaluru FC registered a 1-0 victory against ATK in the first leg semifinal of the Indian Super League at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium here today.

Bengaluru FC made the most of their home advantage as they bossed proceedings right from the start.

The Blues started on the front foot as they had a chance early in the 7th minute to open the scoring but Rahul Bheke headed the ball over from close range.

In the 17th minute, it looked like David Williams had opened the scoring with a fantastic strike but the linesman ruled the goal out for handball.

Finally Bengaluru FC made their dominance count in the 31st minute as Deshorn Brown made no mistake in converting after a mistake by ATK custodian Arindam Bhattacharya. Sunil Chhetris pass to Erik Paartalu saw the latter lay it off for Juanan. The defenders shot saw Bhattacharya make a save but he spilled the ball for Brown who poked it home with ease.

Bengaluru FC stood firm after that and looked solid till the end. Agencies
