GUWAHATI, Dec 25 - Bengal scored 200 in the first innings against Assam in the East Zone U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy match at Golaghat today.
Opting to bat first Bengal reached the 200 mark with the help of a 142-ball 72 by Ankit Chakraborty. For Assam Rituraj Biswas was the main strike bowler with five victims giving away 30 runs.
At close of the opening day of the three day match, Assam were 15 for one.
