GUWAHATI, Sept 4 - A swarm of bees caused panic in several locations of Guwahati city, including the official residence of the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court.

A team of officials from the State Zoo-cum-Botanical Garden was rushed to the residence of the Chief Justice, although it is still not known as to what actually triggered the development.

Among those who were bitten by the honey bees at Adarshapur in Kahilipara area are Nilima Sarma (71) and Dhrubajyoti Sarma (44). The injured are undergoing treatment. Some claimed that the honey bees went on a rampage after their hives were disturbed at Kahilipara, while others said they attacked unprovoked.
