GUWAHATI, June 16 � It is official now! The photograph showing Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Secretary Bikash Baruah alongside Kolkata Knight Riders team owner Shahrukh Khan and Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was indeed morphed.
The forensic examination conducted on the controversial photograph has confirmed that the picture was doctored with the help of a computer using state-of-the-art technology.
The report which is expected to be sent to the Latasil police station in three days time is expected to bring fresh trouble for Baruah, who is currently on bail.
Sources informed that as suspected by many, the photo of a former Indian cricketer was replaced by that of Baruah�s in that controversial picture. ACA secretary Bikash Baruah had circulated the photographs to mediapersons which even got published in a number of newspapers.
After a case was registered in this regard, the photograph was sent to Forensic Science Laboratory for its examination.
Reacting on this, a senior Assam Police official said, �If the photo was indeed morphed then it should be an open and shut case. I believe that the investigation done into the case so far would reach logical conclusion only after the arrival of the report, which we have not received as yet.�
