Barpeta team wins premier league match

GUWAHATI, April 1 - Triranga Club of Barpeta defeated Goalpara District Sports Association by five wickets in the Assam Premier Club Championship here today at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara.

Opting to field first, the Barpeta team restricted the opponents for 158 in 41 overs. All rounder Rajib Kalita wrecked the Goalpara innings with a fifer. In reply, Triranga club hit the winning run in 40.5 overs, thanks to a 55-ball 51 by Rajib who made it easy for the Barpeta team.
