Barnam National Drama fest

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Jan 24 - The third Barnam National Drama festival will be held at Binapani Natya Mandir, here with a three-day long programme on January 26, 27 and 28.

The festival will be inaugurated with the presentation of a play by Barnam, Ambika Gantha to be followed by Makarajal by Nibedan from Nagaon. The second day�s programmes include Shesh Shiksha to be presented by Mridangam from West Bengal, Angik by Assam Mime and Script Creation, Guwahati and Bidya Balan/5001/EBE by Theatre Guild, Guwahati.

The two plays to be presented on day three are Kino Koun by Dapon-The Mirror of Tangla and Barsingaifu by Katha Prasanga of West Bengal.

Dhiraj Jyoti Kalita, Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath and Jahanara Begum, eminent drama personality will be present as the chief guests during the festival. The organisers have sought public help and cooperation to make the event a grand success.
