JORHAT, Dec 5 - A Jammu and Kashmir Police team with the assistance of Dergaon police (Golaghat district) arrested Muktinath Doley on Monday.
Doley happens to be a Canara Bank manager posted in Jammu and Kashmir. He was arrested on charges of misappropriation of bank money.
A police source informed that Doley, originally a resident of Majuli, settled in Kumargaon under Dergaon Police Station, and was wanted for reportedly misappropriating Rs 11 crore while posted as manager of Canara Bank�s Budsha Chowk branch.
Doley, who was produced in a Golaghat court, was subsequently granted transit remand so as to enable the J-K police team to take him to Budsha in Jammu and Kashmir.
