Bangla Foreign minister to visit Tripura tomorrow

AGARTALA, Nov 9 (PTI) Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dipu Moni arriving in Tripura tomorrow on a two-day visit to boost cross-border trade with the North-east region of India, official sources said today.

Accompanied by her husband Taufiq Nawaz, government officials and a 30-member business delegation, Moni will reach Akhaura Land Custom Station (LCS) at around 10:30 am and would be received by Tripura Industries and Commerce Minister, Jiten Chowdhury and top officials.

Later, she will meet Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and Governor DY Patil.

On the same day, she would address a business conference on 'North-East India and Bangladesh: Strengthening ties' organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with India-Bangladesh Chamber of commerce & Industry.

The next day the minister would lay foundation stone of a war memorial park at Chottakhola in South Tripura district, about 110 km from here.
