AJMER, Oct 16 (PTI) - A Bangalore blast suspect, hiding here for the past two months, was arrested by the Karnataka Intelligence Bureau with the help of Government Railway Police, a senior GRP official said today.
Umer Farooq alias Umar Abdulla was arrested from the railway station here on Friday midnight when he was about to board a train going to Ahmedabad, GRP Superintendent of Police Ajmer Veerbhan Ajvani said.
He was taken to Bangalore by the Karnataka IB team today after being granted permission by a local court, Ajvani said.
Farooq, a terrorist suspected of being involved in the Bangalore bomb blast of July 25, 2008, had been hiding here for the past two months, he said.
