UDALGURI, June 11 - A spontaneous bandh observed by the business community here along with the general citizens today passed off peacefully.
The bandh was observed to register protest against a brutal attack on a local young businessman of Udalguri town by a section of anti-social elements in broad daylight yesterday near the town.
Meanwhile, the Udalguri Chamber of Commerce condemned the brutal attack on the innocent businessman and appealed to the district administration to increase police patrolling in and around Udalguri town so that such incidents do not recur.
