TINSUKIA, May 28 All the works of Tinsukia terminal of Indian Oil Corporation (Assam Oil Division) were stalled due to the Digboi Refinery and its Marketing Division bandh call given by the Assam Oil Company (AOC) Labour Union today.

It has been reported that all the works of Digboi Refinery were stalled due to the bandh call. The bandh call was given in protest against shifting of the Marketing Division of the Assam Oil Company (AOC) of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) from Guwahati to Kolkata. Protesters alleged that there was a conspiracy hatched by both the managements of the Assam Oil Division (AOD) and the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) to close down the historical and prestigious Digboi Refinery phase-wise and shift its Marketing Division by diluting its Marketing Code no.9600 with a new Code no.7500 and the Labour Union would not allow them to succeed in such an anti-Assam step.
