Bajaj Auto is all set to expand its product portfolio in the commuter segment by introducing the 110cc version of its CT bike model, christened as the Bajaj CT110. The bike has started reaching select dealerships ahead of its official launch that is expected to happen soon in this month.
The CT110 is available in two variants viz., the kick start and the electric start at an ex-showroom, Delhi price tag of Rs.37,997 and Rs.44,352 respectively. The kick start version of CT110 is around Rs.4,700 costlier than the CT100 Kick-start model while the electric start version costs around Rs.3,200 more than the equivalent CT100 model. Bajaj offers the CT100 in three colour options including Matte olive green (with yellow decals), Gloss ebony black (with blue decals) and Gloss flame red (with bright red decals).
The engine powering the new Bajaj CT110 is the same 115cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled DTS-i unit that powers the Platina 110. It produces 8.6PS power at 7,000rpm and a peak torque of 9.81Nm at 5,000rpm. Power to the wheels get transmitted via an all-down gearshift type 4-speed gearbox. The bike gets equipped with Anti-skid drum brakes at both ends while the suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and a twin SNS (Spring in Spring) suspension at the rear.
In terms of features, the CT110 gets some unique updates when compared with the CT100 that include a new rubber tank-pad, new graphics, braced handlebar, fork gaiters, colour coded rim tapes and larger rear-view mirrors. The CT110 sports a large comfortable seat with more cushioning. It is also offered with a blacked-out treatment for the engine, gearbox, fork, handlebar, grab rail and wheels. The bike also gets larger crash guards, rubber mirror covers, an upswept exhaust and semi-knobby tyres that enable a firm and stable grip on the toughest of roads.
The new Bajaj CT110 will toughly compete with the likes of the Hero HF Deluxe and TVS Sport.
