GUWAHATI, June 21 - The bail application for 45 accused persons facing trial in the infamous Dokmoka case has come up for hearing today before the Bench of Justice Mir Alfaz Ali in the Gauhati High Court.
However, due to the decision given by the apex court in 2018, the nomenclature of which is TS Punawala versus Union of India and others, the Court has issued a notice to the aggrieved persons, who happen to be the guardians of the deceased.
In fact, the court has opined that notices would be received by the counsel in the case, BK Mahajan, on behalf of the parents of the deceased.
The next date of hearing has been fixed on July 15, the date on which the scanned copies of the entire case pending before the Court of Sessions Judge, Nagaon have been sought for final disposal of the bail application pertaining to the 45 persons, who have been accused in connection with the case.
