DOOMDOOMA, Aug 25 - The victims of the Baghjan gas well blowout incident, who resorted to a sit-in protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner�s Office, Tinsukia under the aegis of Baghjan Gaon Milanjyoti Yuva Sangha on Monday has continued their stir for the second day today.

On Monday evening, the Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia tried to convince the agitating people, but in vain. The people refused to budge until their demands were fulfilled. They also told the head of the district administration that they lived in a place full of extreme environment and sound pollution for three long months and now they could not live there any more. They also made it clear that until the fire was doused, they would not leave the place.

The agitating people have constructed a temporary pandal in front of the DC�s office, Tinsukia and made the arrangements of their food and other necessities at the office of the All Moran Students� Union situated near the DC�s office. Meanwhile, the district administration has beefed up security near Tinsukia DC�s office.
