KOLKATA, April 10 (PTI): Mohun Bagan returned to winning ways in style with a 6-1 thrashing of Shillong Lajong FC in their return leg I-League round 23 fixture at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan here today.
Man-of-the-match Sunil Chhetri (24th, 75th) and Odafa Okolie (43rd, 50th) struck twice each after Syed Rahim Nabi gave Mohun Bagan the lead in the 21st minute. Veteran Jose Ramirez Barreto also opened his account with a 61st minute strike to complete the rout.
The Shillong outfit managed to pull one back through Subhas Singh (58th).
The win pushed Mohun Bagan to third place with 43 points from 24 matches, while Lajong FC remained with 27 points from 24 matches.
