BADARPUR, Feb 7 � The Karimganj district BJP unit released its manifesto for the Badarpur Town Committee elections recently.
Releasing the manifesto, the party stated that its aim is to form a transparent and people-centric civic board at Badarpur. It also stated that it will continue to maintain the tradition of all-round development, as envisaged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Releasing the poll manifesto at a press meet at the Badarpur BJP office on Wednesday, all the BJP leaders of Karimganj and Badarpur appealed to the voters to cast their votes in favour of their party candidates. Vehemently criticising the Congress, the speakers alleged that the previous BTC board, led by the Congress, cheated the people and did not do any development work in the town. The BJP, in its 21-point election manifesto, has promised proper drainage system, sufficient lights in each lane and bylane of the town, pure drinking water facility, construction of children�s park and Badarpur Town Hall, a new market, fixing of rickshaw fares, construction of a swimming pool, inclusion of the names of citizens of the Badarpur Railway Station areas in the Badarpur Town Committee voters� list, development of various roads of the town, etc., among others.
Meanwhile, the Karimganj district administration has taken all necessary security arrangements to hold the elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
