HAILAKANDI, May 3 - Ayushman Bharat Diwas was observed as part of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan across Hailakandi district on Monday.
Gram Sabhas were held in all the 62 gaon panchayats to generate awareness about the programme. Enrolment under the National Health Protection Mission (NHPM) are based on data for socio-economic caste census (SECC).
�Data collection is going on and will continue till May 7. Thereafter, it will be uploaded on the website,� said District Media Expert Monika Das.
An annual health cover of Rs 5 lakh will be provided under NHPM � there is no cap on family size. Families will be eligible for the scheme based on deprivation and occupational criteria as per SECC data.
�The purpose of Ayushman Bharat Diwas is to generate awareness about the programme, beneficiary verification, and generation of additional data,� said a health official.
Under Ayushman Bharat, health centres will now provide more wide range of services, including non-communicable diseases. There will be more focus on prevention and health promotion.
