AYP stir against corruption from Dec 8

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Dec 1 The Asom Yuba Parishad has announced a state-wide agitational programme in support of the demand for the resignation of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and in protest against the misgovernance and rampant corruption during the Congress regime in the State.

The Parishad will stage a two-hour dharna from 11 am of December 8 at the district and sub-divisional headquarters of the State in support of its demand.

The Parishad said in a press release here that rampant corruption indulged in by the Tarun Gogoi-led Government has ruined States economy. On the other hand, the misgovernance under the rule of this Government has affected the public life of the people.

The Government, instead of solving the existing problems, has been adding new problems every passing day. Capitalists and smugglers have been holding the reins of this Government and it has been hatching plots against the existence of the indigenous peoples of the State, said the Parishad in its press release.
