Axford medal to Dr JN Goswami

GUWAHATI, May 26 � Notes scientist and Director of the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, Dr Jitendra Nath Goswami has been selected for the prestigious Axford medal by the Asia Oceania Geosciences Society, which has its headquarter in Singapore.

Dr Goswami, who was the principal scientist of the country�s Chandrayaan Mission, is presently acting as advisor to the Mars Mission of India.

The medal will be presented to Dr Goswami in the general assembly of the Society to be held in Japan on July 28 and he has also been requested to deliver a lecture the next day.
