GUWAHATI, June 24 - Two short films, Green Tree and Black Coat by Meeta Dutta, a practising advocate in the Gauhati High Court, have won the award for the Best Motivational Films at the online LOSFFA Awards 2020 programme held on June 20. The films deal with a couple of burning contemporary issues, according to a press release issued here.

The programme, organised by Bhardwaj Films Production India, was presented live from the Facebook page of the organiser.

Altogether 40 films were shortlisted, out of which 28 got due recognition and were thereby honoured in various categories.

The jury included noted writer-director Dilip Shukla; Nandita Puri, wife of the late actor Om Puri; chairman of Jharkhand International Film Festival Rishi Prakash Mishra and Deepak Dua from Bollywood.

Dutta is also a social activist by mission and an actor by passion, associated with Cadence Theatre Mumbai, the release added.
