Award to former Cotton principal Dr KD Krori

GUWAHATI, Dec 24 - Former principal of Cotton College Dr KD Krori has been honoured with the Vaidya Roychoudhury Award by the Indian Association for General Relativity and Gravitation (IAGRG) for his research achievements. IAGRG is an association of relativity scientists of the country. The award is given every alternate year to an eminent scientist.

In 1990 Dr Krori received a national honour, Emeritus Fellowship in Physics from the University Grants Commission, New Delhi and Dr Hiranya Bhuyan Award in physical sciences from the Assam Science Society, Guwahati. In 2010 he was also honoured with the National Teacher Award by KC Das Commerce College.

Dr Krori also earned reputation as a very good teacher of physics.
