GUWAHATI, Sept 25 - The NPS International School won the Global Understanding for Sustainable Development Award during the recent Youth Exchange Programme between Sri Lanka and India. The award was given to the school for its contribution towards creating awareness among the masses, especially the youth, in fulfilling the sustainable development goals of the UN.
The award was presented by the National Youth Services Council, Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs, Govt of Sri Lanka.
Students of the NPS International School were part of a 30-member Indian delegation which included some of the leading schools of the country.
The award carries a wooden plaque along with a certificate from the Sri Lankan Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs.
