DOOMDOOMA, Sept 2 - Sarat Chandra Chiringphukon, a subject teacher of Dangari Higher Secondary School has been selected for the state award for best teacher. The award will be presented at the state-level celebration of Teacher�s Day on September 5.
Born on December 1 , 1959 at Nimaijan village in Sivasagar, Chiringphukon completed his MA in Assamese from Dibrugarh University in 1984 and joined as an assistant teacher at Jokai High School in Dibrugarh district in 1985. Later, he joined as a subject teacher of Assamese in Dangari H. S. School on December 15 , 1987.
An eminent Assamese writer , Chiringphukan has published 17 books so far. Besides, he has been regularly contributing to different newspapers , magazines etc. In 2015 , he received OIL Sikhsha Ratna Award.
Various institutions, individuals and organisations of Tinsukia district have congratulated him for his achievement.
