GUWAHATI, March 2 - Poet Nanda Singh Borkala has been chosen for the prestigious Subramaniam Bharati Sahitya Award for the year 2018-19, an all-India honour instituted by the Uttar Pradesh State Employees� Union.
The award carries a memento, a citation, angavastra, books and Rs 1 lakh.
The award will be formally presented to Singh Borkala, who is also an Assam Police Service Officer at a function at Lucknow on March 17, a press release said. Nanda Singh Borkala has been engaged in literary pursuits for a long time and has been honoured with various literary awards.
