BOKAKHAT, Oct 8 - Dhansiri Eco Camp, situated at the intersection of the banks of Brahmaputra and Dhansiri rivers near the Agoratoli Range has bagged the �Best Eco-tourism Project Award� given by the Assam Tourism Department.
Its needs to be mentioned that the entrepreneur of the project, Goutom Saikia of Bokakhat town, constructed a �chang ghar� with bamboo, thatch and plank etc. The resort is lit up by solar lighting. Facility of river cruise is provided, slides highlighting some of rare scenes of endangered animals in Kaziranga National Park including those of man-animal conflict, flood and rescue operations etc., are enjoyed by the tourists. Traditional food is also provided.
