Award for cancer care

JORABAT, April 29 - Sumki Begum, an alumnus of the Department of Social Work, USTM, who has been working with Sanjeevani Life Beyond Cancer for the past seven months as programme executive, received Sanjeevani�s �Chalo Kuch Naya Karte Hai Award� at its 7th foundation day ceremony held recently at Nehru Centre Auditorium, Mumbai), for different innovations she has brought about in cancer care.

A resident of Digboi, Sumki is currently stationed at the Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) and shares the vision of Sanjeevani Life Beyond Cancer for expanding its service to more cancer crusaders across the country. Sanjeevani Life Beyond Cancer, which serves more than 6,000 patients, has 11 centres across the country.
