JORHAT, Sept 10 - The Vice Chancellor of Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Dr Kamal Malla Bujarbaruah, has been selected for the Agricultural Leadership Award, 2015 which is given by the Agriculture Today magazine.
Dr Bujarbaruah was selected by a national organising committee, chaired by renowned agricultural scientist, Dr MS Swaminathan, for his contribution to agricultural research and also for bringing perceptible changes to agriculture and animal science through different key-positions, which he has held at the regional and national levels.
The award is scheduled to be presented on September 18 this year at New Delhi by the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in the presence of the Governors of Punjab and Haryana.
A press release issued by the AAU spokesperson, Dr Ranjit Kumar Saud, stated that the entire AAU family is jubilant on this deserving recognition to their VC, Dr Bujarbaruah.
