GUWAHATI, June 19 - The Alumni Association of Jorhat Government Girls� HS & MP School �Neer� is going to inaugurate the stage of the auditorium of the school in sacred memory of a pioneering Headmistress of the school, Late Devabala Devi, a press release received here stated.
The eminent educationist contributed her sincere and committed service for the spread of female education for more than four decades starting before Independence.
Neer, as a mark of respect for their path-finder, took the initiative to build the stage in Devabala Devi�s memory with financial support from her family.
The inaugural ceremony is going to be held on June 29 at 2 pm. The president, Sashi Prova Borgohain and secretary, Sayera Rahman has appealed to all the well-wishers, ex-students and members of Neer to make the occasion a grand success by their gracious presence.
