AU Silchar postpones TDC, BEd, LLB exams

SILCHAR, Dec 10 - Ahead of the 11-hour North East bandh called today by the North East Students� Organisation (NESO) and spontaneously supported by some other organisations in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, the authority of Assam University Silchar has postponed all examinations scheduled for the day.

In a notification issued on Monday by Dr Suprabir Dutta Roy, Controller of Examinations (COE) of the varsity, the exams for the Three Year Degree Courses (TDC) have been postponed for the day and revised dates were announced as well.

As per the notification, TDC paper 101 of subjects Chemistry, Political Science and Statistics will be held on December 20 (Friday) in the morning shift from 10 am to 12 noon. TDC paper 501 of subjects Philosophy, Computer Science, Fish and Fisheries and Biotechnology will be held on December 20 in the evening shift from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

TDC BBAE paper 105 and EBCA paper 301 will be held on December 12 (Thursday) in the morning shift from 10 am to 12 noon. TDC BBAE paper 505 will be held on the same day in the evening shift from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, the notification said.

Further, the Controller of Examinations mentioned that B.Ed examination for Course 103 will be held on December 19 (Thursday) in the morning shift from 10 am to 12 noon and LLB examination under the University for Course 302 shall be held on December 23 (Monday) in the morning shift from 10 am to 12 noon.

However, as per the COE, all other content of the said notification No:AUE/Programme/B.Ed/LLB/2013/110, No:AUE/Programme/B.Ed/LLB/2013/111 dated 22/10/2019 and No. AUEC/TDC-1/2018 dated 25/10/2019 shall remain unchanged.
