GUWAHATI, Nov 7 - The All Assam Police Association (AAPA) has expressed deep anguish and strongly condemned the attacks on police officers and staff on duty on various court complexes in Delhi.

We also stand in solidarity with the injured police personnel and their families and also express gratitude to the entire civil society for their support to police, the association said.

The association urged the Union Home Minister to revoke the order of suspension and transfer of police officers of Delhi Police ordered following the clash. The Union Home Ministry should set up a judicial enquiry. Cases should be registered against the lawyers by the complainants and strict action taken against the guilty, the association said.

Association president Binod Kalita and general secretary Taheruddin Ahmed said special laws should to be implemented which will act as a deterrent against such assaults on personnel in uniform on duty anywhere in the country.
