GUWAHATI, Dec 15 - The three-day talent search athletic championship organised by the Assam Athletic Association in collaboration with the Guwahati Sports Association came to an end at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Sarusajai here yesterday.
The championship was organised for boys and girls U-17 and U-21 years only. Altogether 267 athletes from 25 districts took part in the meet where events like 400m and 4x400m relay took place. In the next phase � three events � long jump, high jump and triple jump will be conducted at Nalbari on December 19. Morigaon will host shot put, discus and javelin throw events on December 26 while 100m and 200m races will be held at Lakhimpur on January 3.
The State athletic body will also host a series of national level athletic championships here within the next couple of months.
